How it works

No software to install and no training course. If you can copy and paste, you can use it.

1

Paste the message

Copy the suspicious email or text. Add the sender address and subject line if you have them; they help a lot.

2

Get a verdict in seconds

ScamSpotter checks for spoofed senders, lookalike links, payment-change requests, pressure tactics, and other warning signs.

3

Act with confidence

Each result explains why and what to do next, like calling the vendor on a number you already have.

The scams that target small businesses

Scammers go after the people who pay bills, run payroll, and answer the front desk. ScamSpotter is tuned for those messages.

🎣

Phishing & fake logins

"Your Microsoft 365 password expires today." Messages that send you to a fake sign-in page to steal your password.

Flags: lookalike links, spoofed brand names, "verify your account".
🧾

Fake invoices

Bills for services you never ordered, or real-looking invoices from a vendor you do use, sent by someone else.

Flags: overdue pressure, risky attachments, mismatched senders.
🏦

Wire & payment-change fraud

"We've changed banks, please send this payment to our new account." One reply can redirect a large payment for good.

Flags: new bank details, wires, crypto, direct-deposit changes.
🎁

Gift card scams

A text "from the owner" asking an employee to buy gift cards quickly and quietly, then send the codes.

Flags: gift card asks, secrecy, "I'm in a meeting", free email accounts.
🛠️

Fake tech support & renewals

"Your subscription renewed for $499. Call to cancel." The number connects to a scammer who wants remote access.

Flags: callback numbers, remote-access tools, surprise charges.
📦

Delivery & account texts

"Your package is on hold. Update your address here." Text scams aimed at the phone in everyone's pocket.

Flags: risky domains, shortened links, urgent deadlines.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is it?

ScamSpotter looks for the warning signs that show up again and again in real business scams. It catches a lot, but no tool is perfect. Treat a "Safe" result as one input, not a guarantee. For anything involving money or passwords, still verify through a channel you trust.

Do you store the messages we check?

The checker analyzes the message to produce a result and doesn't save the message content. If optional AI analysis is turned on, the text is sent to that AI provider for the check. Don't paste passwords or full card numbers.

Do my employees need accounts or training?

No. Share the link with your team. There's nothing to install, and every result explains itself in plain English.

Can staff forward emails instead of pasting them?

A forwarding inbox (forward a message to a ScamSpotter address and get the verdict by reply) is planned. Today, staff paste the message into the checker.

What happens after the free trial?

It's $29 per month for your whole business, with unlimited staff. You can cancel anytime. We don't take payment details during early access signup.
